The Pharmacy First Service was launched on July 29th 2020. This service replaces the Minor Ailments Service and uses an approved list of medicines that can be supplied under the service. The list can be accessed here
Work to develop a regional formulary for the West of Scotland (WoS) has reached a significant milestone, with the first chapters now available. The new formulary website can be accessed at: https://formulary.nhs.scot/west
The new WoS Formulary Newsletter, Formulary Focus, provides helpful guidance on navigating the updated formulary layout and highlights the chapters scheduled for upcoming release.
During the transition period, both Local and Regional formularies will run in parallel until all chapters have been reviewed and released. Chapters already published by the West of Scotland Regional Formulary will redirect you to the new website, while those not yet released will continue to link to the current Forth Valley local formulary for that therapeutic area.
If you have any questions please contact the team at WoS.Formulary@nhs.scot and/or fv.formulary@nhs.scot (for local guidance and details).
