Patient Group Direction (PGDs)
All pharmacists and locums working in Forth Valley are encouraged to download and use the PGD Checklist to complete all relevant individual authorisations.
Contractors should ensure that all pharmacists and locums they employ are aware of the services you are contractually obliged to provide. Contracted services must be provided during all opening hours. Pharmacists and locums must be legally covered to provide services by completing the mandatory training required as indicated in the PGD and signing the individual authorisation.
PGD forms (available via digital links) should be completed and returned to pamela.calder@nhs.scot. Links can be requested by contacting pamela.calder@nhs.scot or fv.communitypharmacysupport@nhs.scot.
