2019 NSAIDs Safer Care Bundle
Since 2018 Quality improvement has been part of the community pharmacy contract. The focus for 2019 is Safer Care of NSAIDs. The care bundle that has been produced is a tool to support the pharmacist in their clinical decision making when presented with a prescription for an NSAID. The bundle comprises three elements: an assessment of the need for the NSAID, the need for gastro-protection and the identification of the Triple Whammy combination.
